On some other planet. Maybe I've become a total cynic but headlines like "Video Seems to Show Beheading of American" make me suspect some handy dandy lying might be going on. What the hell does "seems to show" mean? Either the video shows something or it doesn't. Has anyone in the media actually seen this or is this another story conveniently concocted by the Whitehouse to distract attention from their particular crimes in this ongoing bullshit war on terror that doesn't seem to be doing a whole heck of a lot of good for anyone on the planet. Don't get me wrong. People who strap suicide bombs to children and send them to blow up themselves and innocent people, beheadings, throat cuttings, hostage takings, murders, torture, denying females access to sunlight and an education because they have vaginas - all in the name of another fascist male-dominated cult that has a stone-age twist to it...can rot in hell for eternity. But whatever these inhuman beings obsessed with fundamentalist "ideals" decide to do in their testosterone-fueled minds doesn't detract from the crimes of the fucked American government. And it seems that every time the American government gets outed for the atrocities it commits in the name of whatthefuckever, some new worse thing done by the enemy gets plunked on to everyone's television sets to get us to think that maybe the rapes, broom handle incidents, leashes, and even murders aren't such a bad thing after all. Looky looky over here. They're actually BEHEADING a business man. Oh wow, that's so much worse than beating some Iraqi guy to death in a jail cell. Isn't it? WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON NOW, YOU AMERICAN CRITIC? And if you can't make up your mind whether the BEHEADING ("seems to;" remember, nobody's quite sure whether the guy's throat got slit or his whole head came off) is worse than our our way of murdering people, then "you're on the wrong side." I'm sorry but I'm not playing this game. "seems to..." I hate this shit. I don't want to SEE the fucking video. (Has anyone ever seen Osama bin Laden? In the flesh? Have any of his followers ever met him? When will the war on terror begin the hunt for the man who orchestrated the terror in the first place since we all know it wasn't Saddam, the US-installed madman of Iraq for too many years for anyone's good.) I don't want innocent people to die. Anywhere. I don't want Palestinian kids fed the lie that an early death from a suicide bomb is the way to find salvation in this life, and I don't want Israeli civilians being blown up by those duped kids. I don't want Iraqi prisoners treated like they're less than human, less than shit, by the "morally superior" Americans, and I don't want an innocent business man in Iraq to make a living getting his throat slit by deranged ideologues who've clearly lost their precious way in this world. I don't like the men with guns and I don't care whether they are Christian-right businessmen bent on controlling global capital or Islamic fundamentalists bent on enslaving world populations. I would like the lying thieving pricks who want to dominate this planet and turn it into shit to have to wash toilets for the next billion years. In MacDonald Restaurant museums where fast food is no longer served. Until they learn some humility, get over themselves already. So the rest of us can get on with life in a world where bombs and terrorists aren't permitted and anyone who thinks murder and terror and war is a solution to a conflict are forced into therapy. And if that doesn't work, given the choice of a lobotomy or toilet cleaning on Mars. No bombs, no invasions, no terrorism, no beheadings, no propaganda, no videos, none of this crap anymore. I'm tired of the manipulation. Seriously, very very tired of it all. And let me just say that I am very very sorry for this man's family that they have to endure this. I heard the father tonight wearily saying he was hurt by the media attention and when they asked him about the beheading, he actually said "at least his death was quick...they didn't torture him." Jesus. H. Christ. Leave the poor man alone. Sorry for the man who got caught in the cross fire of unworthy undeserving zealots. Sorry, for all of the people who are victims of these two horrible despicable sides. The Eye for an eye, throat for a throat, head for a head, bomb for a bomb, game leads NOWHERE. When the hell are we going to learn that.
